With every stitch, I observe my hands. They are hands that prepare.
That make better, and that wipe away tears. Hands that correct, that protect. Hands that serve. Hands that create. That praise. Hands that grasp, and also that let go. Hands that give. And that receive. Hands with promise. Hands with purpose.
Hands with life. Hands that love.

Ivy's Sweater And A Little Hat
I finished Ivy's sweater yesterday and had enough yarn left over to make a little hat... the Children's Cotton Hat from the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I had never made such a tiny hat before and was glad I had a small enough circular needle! I can't wait for her to try this on!
Oh, and the button I decided on is one I actually fell in love with at the knitting shop. I have my Gram's large jar of buttons to go through and think her next sweater will include buttons from there.
beautiful sweater. So... I am learning to knit... I have been inspired by several including you... and the knit apple cozy's on the vegan lunchbox blog. Those are pretty awesome.. but so far I'm working on the basics. I'm totally excited though, because my beginner's knitting group starts thursday! YEAH!

So cute! My husband's grandmother taught my older girls to knit and they are yarn crazy--I'll have to show them your knitting blog!
Blessings!
