With every stitch, I observe my hands. They are hands that prepare.
That make better, and that wipe away tears. Hands that correct, that protect. Hands that serve. Hands that create. That praise. Hands that grasp, and also that let go. Hands that give. And that receive. Hands with promise. Hands with purpose.
Hands with life. Hands that love.
As I am in waiting, I knit. This sweater (which in person really looks more reddish pink than hot pink) is coming along nicely and all I have to finish is the sleeves!
I also plan to add one button at the top, hoping to choose a special button from a large jar of my Gram's. Thought that might be special...
I finished Gray's sweater today, complete with robot buttons. I am really pleased with it. He is, too. Just last night he asked me if I was building it for him. So sweet.
And now I've started on the baby's sweater, a lovely pink-red softy yarn by Hopscotch. I have high hopes of finishing it before her arrival.
It's been ages since I last started this sweater, but as my baby is due in just a few weeks, I got the itch to knit again and am trying to stick with my rule of not starting a project until I finish the last one.
Sooo, the other day I picked up my needles again and finished the sleeve on this sweater- finally!- and just have to do the next sleeve and add the buttons.
And I already picked up some sweet, soft yarn for the baby's sweater. Then, I think I am retiring this pattern and moving on to bigger and better designs!!
