Little Dress for Ivy
I made my first dress for Ivy and really loved it. I can't wait to expand beyond sweaters and onto dresses and next... pants!
You can find all the pattern, yarn, & needle information at my Ravelry (I'm BabywearKnittery).
I also posted about it at my main blog- Adventures In Babywearing.

Pretty Pretty Princess
I finished the sweet pink sweater for Ivy, designed to go with the first dress I ever bought her (the day we found out we were having a girl). I used the same sweater pattern as always but changed it up a bit in the collar and body length, adding moss stitching for the details.
A small white vintage flower button from my grandmother's button jar makes it even more special and sweet.

Ivy's Sweater And A Little Hat
I finished Ivy's sweater yesterday and had enough yarn left over to make a little hat... the Children's Cotton Hat from the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I had never made such a tiny hat before and was glad I had a small enough circular needle! I can't wait for her to try this on!
Oh, and the button I decided on is one I actually fell in love with at the knitting shop. I have my Gram's large jar of buttons to go through and think her next sweater will include buttons from there.

Ivy's Sweater Progress
As I am in waiting, I knit. This sweater (which in person really looks more reddish pink than hot pink) is coming along nicely and all I have to finish is the sleeves!
I also plan to add one button at the top, hoping to choose a special button from a large jar of my Gram's. Thought that might be special...

And She Finishes!!
I finished Gray's sweater today, complete with robot buttons. I am really pleased with it. He is, too. Just last night he asked me if I was building it for him. So sweet.
And now I've started on the baby's sweater, a lovely pink-red softy yarn by Hopscotch. I have high hopes of finishing it before her arrival.

And She's Knitting Again
It's been ages since I last started this sweater, but as my baby is due in just a few weeks, I got the itch to knit again and am trying to stick with my rule of not starting a project until I finish the last one.
Sooo, the other day I picked up my needles again and finished the sleeve on this sweater- finally!- and just have to do the next sleeve and add the buttons.
And I already picked up some sweet, soft yarn for the baby's sweater. Then, I think I am retiring this pattern and moving on to bigger and better designs!!

One Big Ball
Oh, knitting is saving my sanity. When life seems like one big ball of stress, I find relief in my yarn & needles.
I've decided that this capelet will go perfectly with a couple different sleeveless dresses I have this spring & summer. And so I'm following this pattern adaptation for a springier look. I am using size 6 Addi Turbo 24" circulars and did cast on a few extra stitches as recommended. So far I'm loving the yarn (Classic Elite Cotton BamBoo in a yummy yummy green) and I'm loving how this is flowing.
I am still on the lookout for a brooch to pin it all together when I'm done.
